BLS Provider
Cost: $60

Description:
The BLS Provider course is a complete in-person experience where you will learn through lectures, video segments, practice and coaching.
Receive ample opportunity to apply your skills and receive feedback before the evaluation. You will learn single- and multi-rescuer basic life support skills with a focus on high-quality CPR and team dynamics in a wide variety of settings, including prehospital and in-facility settings.
The BLS Provider course is ideal for healthcare professionals and trained first responders as well those who are new to BLS or do not frequently use their resuscitation skills.

Description:
The BLS Renewal course assumes comprehensive awareness, knowledge, and skill proficiency in Heart & Stroke BLS concepts. This fast-paced course is for students who are confident in their BLS skills, use their skills regularly, require limited practice and who already possess a valid Heart & Stroke BLS certificate to renew their credentials for another year.
Prerequisites:
To qualify for BLS renewal, you must have a Current Heart & Stroke BLS Provider certification - OR - Heart & Stroke BLS Renewal Prerequisite Challenge Certificate ($10)

ACLS Provider

Description:
ACLS Provider is designed specifically for healthcare providers who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies, and who will regularly use ACLS skills within their scope of practice. The course gives students the opportunity to practice and demonstrate proficiency in continuous, high-quality CPR, high-performance team dynamics and communication, systems of care, recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, acute dysrhythmia, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes.
Prerequisites:
Current Heart & Stroke BLS Provider certification
- AND - ACLS pre-course self-assessment certificate (passing score = 70%)

Description:
The ACLS Provider Renewal course is intended for highly-proficient ACLS providers who regularly direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies, and who will regularly use ACLS skills within their scope of practice.
This is a fast-paced course that gives students the opportunity to demonstrate understanding of the core ACLS program through written and skills assessment in a concentrated program.
Prerequisites:
Current Heart & Stroke BLS Provider certification
- AND - Current Heart & Stroke ACLS Provider certification
- AND - ACLS pre-course self-assessment certificate (passing score = 70%)

Description:
Heart and Stroke Standard First Aid course integrates the science from the Canadian Consensus Guidelines on First Aid and CPR. Features 17 key topics pertaining to essential skills needed to effectively respond to medical emergencies. Updated science includes the FAST assessment tool for stroke, updates to the CPR section, and a revised anaphylaxis protocol. This course also teaches control of bleeding, shock, stabilizing fractures and dislocations, head and spine injuries, and more.
Certification valid for 3 years.
